LaVonne M. (Erschen) Wolf

LaVonne M. Wolf, 85, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away June 17, 2025, at home surrounded by her family.

According to her wishes, no services will be held. Leonard Funeral Home and Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, is assisting the family.

She was born on January 21, 1940, in Dubuque, the daughter of Peter and Mildred (Oneyear) Erschen. She married Robert “Bob” Wolf on February 15, 1958, at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Dubuque. LaVonne was a school bus driver for the Dubuque Community Schools and ARC.

LaVonne was an avid bowler, loved to fish and plant flowers. She was a lifelong Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packer’s fan, and enjoyed her time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Bob; sons, Bob Jr. (Jolene), Wayne (Pam), and Clint (special friend, Jessica); daughter Kari (John Sr.) Miller; and special friends, Sandy and Chuck Cullen, JoAnn Muhoney, Dennis and Karen Schmitt and Grace Hingtgen.

LaVonne was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Paul (Phil) Erschen, Ann (Ron) Lanser, and Milly (Guy) Campbell.

The family would like to thank the nurses at Finley on 5th Floor and in the ICU, and also to Hospice of Dubuque for the great care given to LaVonne.
