Linda S. Moore, 70, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away on May 12, 2026, at Dubuque Specialty Care.

Friends and family may visit from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Leonard Funeral Home and Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m.

Linda Moore was born on June 8, 1955, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Norma (Hammerand) Moore. The second of five children, Linda grew up in Sherrill, Iowa. She spent a lot of time with her siblings at the family farmhouse, before moving to Dubuque. Linda learned hard work from her father and how to be a homemaker from her mother. These were skills that served her well throughout her life.

Linda was always proud of her work ethic and wasn’t afraid of a little hard work. After years of working various jobs, she found her favorite. Working for Mount St. Francis in Dubuque. She was always happy to cook for the sisters and would often talk about how sweet they were. She liked working so much that they would make her take a week of vacation each year. Instead of resting and relaxing, like most people, she would paint the kitchen or do some other project she had going on. Regardless of the number of years and hours worked, she always had a hot meal on the table for her two boys.

Linda enjoyed getting together with family and friends for holidays and special occasions. She would be known to join in a game of euchre or two, trading banter with the best of them. She also enjoyed home projects and arts and crafts. The house was always decorated for whatever the season happened to be. She was very proud of her “little church” in Sherrill, Iowa, St. Matthew Lutheran Church.

Linda is survived by her sons, Travis Eurit of Iowa City, Iowa, and Jeff Lambert, of Dubuque, Iowa; her siblings, Richard (Carla) Moore, of Florida, and Tom “Kegger” (Diane) Moore, of East Dubuque, Sallie A. Moore, and Jeanne M. Moore, both of Dubuque; 13 nieces and nephews; and 12 great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Dale and Norma March; Father Earl Moore; and brother, Bob “Bear” Moore.
