Lucie James Gill, daughter of Mitchel and Clare (Huguelet) Gill, was born into Heaven on January 14, 2026, at 4:52 a.m., at MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center.
Friends and family may visit from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 1240 Rush Street.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Rev. G. Robert Gross officiating. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, is assisting the family.
Lucie will forever be our light who has already given our lives so much meaning. She is so loved by her sisters, family, and friends. She is saving a spot for us up in Heaven, where we can’t wait to be reunited.
Lucie is survived by her mom and dad, Clare and Mitchel; her big sisters Olivia and Delaney Gill; grandparents, Gerard and Lisa Huguelet, and Brian and Jan Gill; aunts and uncles, Gerard and Elisa Huguelet, Katie and Simon Bourneuf, Emily Huguelet, Anne Huguelet, Godfather Thomas Huguelet, Jane and Jonathan Webster, Godmother Mary Grace Huguelet, Julie Huguelet, Matthew Huguelet, and Josh Gill.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents Glenn Bormann, James Barr, Mary Virginia Huguelet, Robert Huguelet, John Gill, and Margaret Gill.
