Mike was born on September 21, 1995, in Dubuque, Iowa. Mike had a strong love for fishing, he fished most days, morning, and night. He enjoyed loud music which included country and rap. He loved to work on farms and do any miscellaneous labor work.
Mike always had a big heart and was always concerned about others. He would be there in a minute to help someone or take a phone call or text just to talk if needed.
He cherished his relationship with his sister, they were only 13 months apart in age and spoke every day and night and calls always ended in, I love you.
We will all miss his random texts, snap chats, Facebook posts of quotes or crazy antics! Every phone call or message ended in “don’t do anything I wouldn’t do, be safe and I love you.”
He is survived by his mother Kim Kluesner (Brian Strang); his father Doug (Theresa) Harkey; his daughter Stella Harkey; his sister Mercedez Rohrs; brothers Dylan Rohrs and Brandon Ostrander; mother of Stella; Jessica Peters; maternal grandparents James “Bumpa” and Carol “Sunshine” Kluesner.
His nephews Hendrix, Nixon, and Daxon Rohrs; many aunts, uncles and cousins and his beloved dog “Mister Bear”.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Raymond Harkey Sr. and CJ and Sally Richard. His cousins: Christian Anne “Sissy Lala” Kluesner, Mitchell Kluesner, Evan Pusateri, and Evan Harkey, and beloved best friend Samantha Link
Michael cherished all his friendships; his friends were a part of his family. Thank you to all his Western Dubuque friends, Morgan M., Cassie N., Tanner E., Jacob G., Megan and all of his Barrel House family.
