Michael R. Trilk

Michael Richard Trilk, 67, of Dubuque passed away on April 4, 2025, at home. A private family burial for Michael will be held on a later date. Leonard Funeral Home and Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Rd. Dubuque is assisting the family.

Michael was born and raised in Dubuque and attended Hempstead High School, where he was a proud member of the swim team. His early years were marked by dedication and achievement, including earning the rank of Eagle Scout – an honor that reflected his efforts in perseverance and service.

Michael worked for many years at Brown Publishing Co. in Dubuque. He had a small circle of friends who were always close by and interacted on a regular basis.

Fishing was one of his favorite pastimes – a peaceful pursuit that brought him joy throughout his life. Whether casting a line along the Mississippi or hunting for morel mushrooms, he found solace in nature.

Michael is survived by his five siblings and six children. He was preceded in death by his parents.
