Obituary

Richard P. Sabers, 74, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on September 16, 2023, at home.

Family and friends may gather from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Mueller Chapel, Linwood Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded at 10:30 a.m. by the American Legion Post #6. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, Dubuque, Iowa is assisting the family.

Richard was born on August 15, 1949, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Floyd and Cecilia (Ruden) Sabers. He is a US Navy Veteran. Richard worked for Eagle Window and Door until retirement. He enjoyed the outdoors including hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his two daughters Stacey and Kimberly; two sisters Sandy Helbing and Nita (Roger) Kremer; two brothers Bill (Judy) Sabers and Steve (Leann) Sabers; one sister-in-law Julie Sabers along with nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Mike, a sister LaVonne and a brother-in-law Harold Helbing.
