Roseann E. Chatfield, 77, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away on April 23, 2024, at Harmony Dubuque.
Friends and family may visit from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday April 26, 2024, at the Cathedral of St. Raphael. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the Cathedral with Fr. Dennis Quint officiating. Burial will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Dubuque.
Roseann was born on November 14, 1946, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of William P. and Helen E. (Gaherty) Campbell. She married the love of her life, David Chatfield, on May 3, 1969, at the Cathedral. She attended elementary school at the Cathedral and high school at the Visitation Academy. She worked at John Deere Dubuque Works for 30 years, and after her “retirement” she worked at Mount Carmel for 17 years. She became a BVM associate in 2007. She was a volunteer for DuRide for 5 years and enjoyed connecting with people that she helped. She was a member of the Power of Prayer in Dubuque.
Roseann was a born caretaker, and her family always came first. She cherished her luncheons with her sisters and cousins. She always enjoyed family vacations, especially the family trip to Ireland. She enjoyed musical theatre and loved listening to 60’s music. During the nice weather she could be found walking through Linwood and Mount Calvary cemeteries.
Roseann is survived by her husband David, sons Dan of Milwaukee, Shawn of Prairie Du Chien, and Ryan Chatfield of Dubuque, close friend Chris Hall, and several cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Carol Petesch, Susan Campbell, and Lynne Petesch.
The family would like to thank the staff at Harmony for their amazing care of mom and dad, especially Sandy, as well as the staff at Care Initiatives Hospice and Mercy Rehab.
