Sandra "Sandy" Ann (Virnoche) Owens

Sandra “Sandy” A. Owens, 76, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away on March 7, 2025.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Dickeyville, Wisconsin.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the church with Rev. Bernard E. Rott officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, Dubuque, Iowa, is assisting the family.

Sandy was born on November 23, 1948, in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, the daughter of Wilton J. and Pearl E. (Townsend) Virnoche. She graduated from Beaver Dam High School. She was united in marriage to William Owens on September 11, 1971, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. They later separated but remained good friends until his passing. She co-owned Video Express & Tanning Center with her best friend Loni. She was a member of numerous card clubs. Sandy did volunteer work for Holy Ghost Catholic Church, including their garage sales.

Sandy is survived by her daughter Robyn Owens, grandchildren Lee, Laklyn, Londyn, and Rickey, great grandchildren Landon, Lakylah, Leyton, Lincoln, Louie, Leilani, Lamir, Lola, and two on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents Wilton and Pearl, her former husband William Owens, brother Wayne Virnoche, and best friend Loni Droessler.
