Scott Christopher Francis Harmon of Dubuque, Iowa, 56, passed away at Unity Point Hospital on January 6, 2022.
Scott was born in Elmhurst Hospital on November 21, 1965 to Judith Rosemeyer and Richard Harmon. Scott graduated from St. Charles High School, St. Charles, Illinois. Scott had a long career in law enforcement. His greatest achievement were his three beautiful daughters, his grandson Beau and his cat Roxie.
Scott lived life to the fullest. He was always telling a joke or a story. His personality was bigger than life. He was outspoken, jovial, and friendly with everyone he met. Always out to expand his knowledge, make a friend, and travel.
As a veteran Scott served not only in the Marine Corps but also the United States Navy. He spent time overseas serving our country. He was very active in veteran organizations in his community.
According to Scott's wishes cremation rites have been accorded. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life in the Summer of 2022.
He is survived by daughters, Erin Harmon (Austin Rowan), Layla Harmon, and Madison Harmon. He was so happy to be a g'pa Nator to his grandson Beau. Surviving sister Nancy (Eric) Wiley, nieces Elizabeth Davis, Caroline Davis, and nephew Cole Davis.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, sister, grandparents, infant son and lifelong friend Tim Moravec.
Memorials are encouraged to be made to Wounded Warrior Project in Scott's name.
