Sheila A. (Raab) Smith

Sheila A. Smith, 48, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away on January 8, 2025, at the University of Iowa, Hospitals and Clinics, with her loving family by her side.

Friends and family may visit from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday January 12, 2025, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 on Monday January 13, 2025, at the funeral home with Rev. Dianne Grace officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in East Dubuque, Illinois.

Sheila was born on February 26, 1976, in Belvidere, Illinois, daughter of the late David J. and Beatrice O. (Kruse) Raab. She graduated from Belvidere High School. Sheila was a devoted wife and daughter with a heart full of love and selflessness. She consistently placed the needs of others above her own, taking care of anyone who needed it, from her parents, in-laws, extended family, and most of all her husband. Sheila also had a special bond with her pets, cherishing them all, whether they were dogs, cats, or birds. Sheila will be deeply missed by many, but she will always be with us and never forgotten.

Sheila’s memory will live on in her husband Ryan Smith, cousin Dane (Sue) Steiner, father-in-law John Smith, sister-in-law Jenny (Tom) Rogers, nephews, T.J. and Connor, nieces, Leah and Scarlett, and brother Troy (Carey) Raab.

She was preceded in death by her parents David and Beatrice, her mother-in-law Betsy Smith, and several beloved pets.
