Tina Lynn Carr, 49, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and memories that will continue to warm the hearts of everyone who knew her.

A celebration of Tina’s life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road. A time of sharing will be held at 6:30 p.m. In true Tina fashion, those attending are encouraged to bring stories, laughter, and memories.

Tina was the kind of person whose beautiful smile could brighten even the hardest day, and whose hugs had a way of making people feel instantly at home. Her children especially will forever carry with them the words she said so often and so sincerely: “I love you more and more every day.”

Born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa, Tina built lifelong friendships wherever she went. Tina found joy in the simple things — a quote from her favorite movie would quickly bring a smile to every face.  In her way, Tina made sure the people she loved knew it every day.  Her life included moments of sorrow, but she filled every room she entered with her gentle spirit and laughter.

Above all else, Tina loved her family and friends. Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her love will continue to guide those who knew her, and her memory will live on in every smile, hug, and “I love you” shared in her honor.

Tina is survived by her loving children Austin Bisbing, Chelsea Schlarman and TJ Schlarman; her grandson Xander; her mother Susan E. Lambert; and siblings Teresa Psaros (Aric Psaros), Tammy Carr, Hollie Carr, Amber Carr and A.J. Carr; Grandma Mary Schlarman; as well as her loving pitbull, Safire.  Tina also has many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who will miss her beyond words.

Tina is preceded in death by her father Virdsall Allan Carr and her maternal grandmother Mary Ellen Clark.

In lieu of flowers a Tina Carr memorial fund has been established. 

The family wishes to thank the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, especially the ICU staff with a special thanks to her hospice nurse Lisa.
