Winford Adams

Winford “Win” G. Adams, 90, passed away April 3, 2025, at the home of Tracy and Amy Adams in Dubuque, Iowa.

A celebration of Win’s life will be held in Vermont at a future date. Leonard Funeral Home and Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Rd is assisting the family.

Win was born on December 16, 1934, in Stowe, VT, to Lester Sr. and Beth (Davis) Adams. He attended Moscow and Stowe Schools. He married Barbara Stafford. He served in the United States Army.

He was an equipment operator for local contractors; in later years he owned Adams Upholstery. He retired at the age of 65 and began growing winter-hardy azaleas. He was quiet, kind, loyal, and dependable.

Win is survived by his wife Barbara Adams; sons, Christopher (Kathy) Adams of Rocky Hill , CT, and their three sons, Tracy (Amy) Adams of Dubuque, IA, and his three children; brother Kent (Phyllis) Adams of Anchorage; sister Andrea McKnight of Morrisville.

He is preceded in death by is parents, brothers Lester Jr. and Richard.
