Sarah Elizabeth Gross, 25 of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque.
Family and friends may gather from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 26th at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road where a memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m.
Sarah was born on October 28, 1989 in Dubuque, the daughter of James Gross and Janice Weig.
She graduated from Dubuque Senior High School, the class of 2008. Sarah loved to spend time with her family and friends on a personal level as well as her social network. She had a passion for reading and going to movies especially at Mindframe Theaters in Dubuque. Sarah showed unconditional love to everyone. Her outreach with social media extended not just here but abroad. Her care and love surpassed that of an average individual especially with the care of her “Mum” Janice. With Sarah being her Daddy's Girl and mother's pride and joy she will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
She is survived by her father Jim (Deena) Gross, of Dubuque and mother Janice Weig, of Dubuque, Step-brothers; Tim (Randy) Perry, Cody Perry, and Doug Perry all of Dubuque, Grandparents; Richard and Joan Gross of Fairfield, Ohio, many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and all of her “Besties”, you know who you are.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Jim and Marcella Wieg and at a young age and an uncle David Wieg who passed before Sarah was born and aunts Mary LuGrain and Sharon Hefel.
The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses, and staff at Mercy ICU for they're tremendous care they gave to Sarah.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
