Deb, Kim AND Jean, It is with a heavy heart I send my sympathy for the loss of Gary, As my cousin he will always be remembered with affection. all the gatherings at grandpa and grandma Koch's on christmas eve and their anniversary with family is a memory I treasure. He delighted my mother in her last days b y coming to Grundy Center to visit her in the care facility. I was so happy he shared his time with my mother. He will be sadly missed, and I am so sorry I cannot attend the memorial service. All my love Nancy

Gary and I were friends since our teens, but I did not realize, until coming to Camp Courageous in 1980, that Gary was a part of the volunteer labor force in 1973 that built the first five buildings at Camp Courageous. We had lots of good visits, one just a few weeks ago, about those early days and how proud Gary was on far the camp had come. Gary was a good and hard working person, whose talents and genuine concern for others will be dearly missed. What an inspiration and great leader he was to me, growing up.
