Mary Catherine Rollinger, 92 of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, April 27th, 2016 at Stonehill Care Center surrounded by her children.
Funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Rev. Alan Dietzenbach officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, May 2nd from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, where there will be a wake service at 3:30 p.m.
Mary was born on August 4, 1923 in Garryowen, Iowa the daughter of John and Bessie (Noonan) Lynch. She was a wonderful wife and mother and was very proud of her Irish Heritage. She went to school in Dubuque at St. Joseph’s Academy graduating in 1941.
She married Raphael H. Rollinger on May 1, 1946 at St. Patrick’s Church in Dubuque.
Mary worked for Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque for 29 years.
She is survived by her daughter Juliann Rollinger, of Dubuque; two sons, Roger J. (Mary) Rollinger of Dubuque and Earl N. (Anne Laubenthal) Rollinger, of Ankeny, Iowa. Her daughter-in-law Judy Rollinger, of Rochelle, IL; granddaughter Ann Marie (Steve) Osborne, of Creston, IL, and grandson Tom (Danielle) Klostermann, of Dyersville, Iowa; four great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Richard Sherman, of Dubuque, Dr. Thomas Kalb, of Waconia, MN, and two sisters-in-law Monica Hosch, and Helen Moran both of Cascade.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raphael, a son Edward and sisters Margaret “Maggie” Sherman and Dolores “Dot” Kalb.
