Jennifer and I send Jay's family our sincere sympathy. Jay and Mary Jo were very special to us. We were out of the country when we heard the news. I worked with Mary Jo and David Flying service and she sent us a wonderful gift when we were married. I had the privilege to fly with Jay right after college, he was a great mentor and teacher for a young aspiring pilot. He had some great stories and showed me how a professional pilot should be. Our kids and his grand kids went to school together are good friends. He will be sorely missed.

If the true measure of a man is his family, then Jim was a truly great man. Our deepest sympathies to Christine, her brothers and extended family. Jim lives on in all of you!

My prayers and symphony on the loss of your father. Jay and Mary Jo were airport friends for more years than I care to remember. They leave a large hole in the airport community.

Bill and I once flew one of Al Beyer's planes along with John Georgen to South Dakota to see Jay when he was in the Air Force. It was a wonderful 4 day time with him. Bill also had known Mary Jo since Bill's early flying days with Beyer Aviation. They were a fantastic couple and both will be sadly missed.
