Sharon E. Riesselman, 55, of Dubuque, beloved Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Friend, passed peacefully from this life the evening of May 10, 2017 after a short, but valiant fight with cancer.

Family and friends may gather from 10:00 a.m.to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 20th, 2017 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road where services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at a later date in Linwood Cemetery. 

Sharon was born Dec. 9, 1961, daughter of Harold and Darlene Riesselman. She graduated from Hempstead H.S. and would go on to work at Mount St. Francis, Kay Jewelers, and Molo Big 10 Mart.

She loved the Chicago Cubs, animals, the color purple, but most of all she adored her daughter Emily, who was the light of her life. Sharon never missed a practice or basketball game if Emily was playing.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Sharon is survived by her daughter Emily, her mother Darlene Wieseler, her brothers, Donald (Tina) Riesselman,  Jeff (Barb) Riesselman , and Sister Kristy (Jason) Berry.  Nieces Tara Riesselman and Nicole (John) Montgomery and Nephews; Matthew Riesselman,  Alex Berry, and Gavin Berry. As well as Randy Mott (Emily’s Dad), Paula Riesselman (Sister-In-Law), and her best friend Leslie (John) Sweeney.

She was preceded in death by her father Harold Riesselman and her step-father Kenneth Wieseler.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Kristy Berry 10488 Emberwood Dr., Dubuque, IA 52001.
