Debra K. "Debbie" Dryer, 62 of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, May 25th, 2016 surrounded by family at Mercy Medical Center after a long illness.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road with Rev. Karen Candee officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 27th, 2016 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road.
Debbie was born on February 23, 1954 in Dubuque, Iowa the daughter of Clarence and Evelyn (Dunkley) Van Vors.
She graduated from Dubuque Senior High School. She married Rick Dryer on September 24, 1982 in Dubuque, Iowa.
She worked for 24 years at Harmon Glass retiring in 2000.
Debbie enjoyed going for rides on the motorcycle with Rick, camping, shopping, her cats but especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Rick, and a brother Jerry Van Vors of Dubuque, her mother-in-law Betty Dryer, of Dubuque, three sisters-in-law Cindy Dryer, Roseann (Ron) Dryer-Hunt, Debbie (Melvin) Levins, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law Louis Dryer and brother-in-law Roger Dryer.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established.
The family wishes to thank Mercy Medical Center, Hospice of Dubuque, Dr. Mark Janes, Dr. Mark Niemer, Dr. Ryan Stille and their staffs, and to Finley Home Care for all their wonderful care and kindness they gave to Debbie these last few years.
