Dwayne M. “Butch” Noggle 81 of Dubuque passed away Friday May 26, 2017 at Unity Point Health, Finley Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 Thursday June 1, 2017 at the Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory 2595 Rockdale Road with Fr. Don Bakewell officiating. Entombment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday May 31, 2017 at the funeral home.
Butch was born on June 13, 1936 in Guttenberg, Iowa the son of Clifford and Calista (Walters) Noggle. He married Shirley Buck and together they shared 62 wonderful years. He worked for John Deere Dubuque for 34 years until retirement and was a member of the UAW Local #94.
He loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing, and riding his bike. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, The Harley Owners Group and the Potosi Gun Club.
He is survived by his wife Shirley, three children Debra (Michael “Mick” Carroll) Phillips, of Colorado, Robert Noggle, of Casper, WY, and Lori (Timothy) Mellon of Dubuque, three grandchildren Brady (Shawn) Phillips, Christopher (Amy) Phillips, and Kaylee Mellon, five great grandchildren Ashlee, Gage, Trevor, Skyler, Michael, and Logan, a great great grandchild, Natalie and two sisters Dolores Stillmunkes, and Lorraine Shaffer.
He was preceded in death by a son-in- law Bill Phillips, a daughter-in- law Sara Noggle two brothers Michael and Clifford, Jr. and a sister Darlene Weber.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Finley for all the care they gave to Butch.
