Linda L. Manders, 62 of St. Catherine’s, found peace with the Lord on Friday Morning, August 16, 2013 at home surrounded by her husband Roger of 44 years and four loving daughters.
Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday August 19th 2013 at St. Catherines Catholic Church, St. Catherines, Iowa. Funeral mass will be held at 5:15p.m. Monday August 19th at the church with Rev. Philip Kruse officiating. Burial will follow in the church Cemetery. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Rd is in charge of arrangements.
Linda was born on November 2, 1950 in Dubuque, Iowa the 12th child of 13 to Raymond and Leona (McDermott) Konrardy. She married Roger Manders on April 12, 1969 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dubuque. Together they raised four strong willed, fun loving daughters on the Family Century Farm.
Linda enjoyed her family, especially her 10 grandkids and one great grandson. She loved to laugh, tease and prank friends and family. She loved late nights of movies, campfires, conversation and fishing with Roger.
She also adored being an official “Bag Lady”
Linda will be remembered by her husband Roger, daughters; Angie (Don) Cannon, Molly (Randy) Manders, Pennie (Jerry) Davis, Amie (Brad) Sieverding. Grandchildren; Josh, Jenna, Jace Manders, Averie, Irelynd Sieverding, Justin, Hailey and Vanessa Davis, Jacob and Cyrus Cannon, and great grandson Mason Manders. Her best friend and sister, Sheila.
She was preceded in death by her parents
Linda’s family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Ridgley, Dr. Schope, nurse Lisa, Mercy ICU and Hospice of Dubuque for the care and compassion they gave to Linda.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to St. Judes Hospital in memory of Linda.
